The original series propelled Tatiana Maslany into stardom as an award-winning actor from her performance as a dozen characters, all clones in a dark, mad scientist plot. Orphan Black continues next year, this time as an AMC+ series, in Orphan Black: Echoes. The series stars Jessica Jones and Veronica Mars actor Krysten Ritter as Lucy, who appears to be the next incarnation of Orphan Black’s sci-fi schemes–this time in the future.
The series will co-star Homicide and Bosch: Legacy’s Reed Diamond as the head of security for a new foundation developing the project, with Unforgettable’s James Hiroyuki Lao as the CEO. Ashes to Ashes star Keeley Hawes plays a scientist. It also stars newcomer Amanda Fix.
Here’s the first trailer for Orphan Black: Echoes:
It looks a bit like Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Look for ten episodes of the first season of Orphan Black: Echoes coming your way sometime in 2024 to AMC+.
