Red One–A huge Christmas action movie is coming this winter

Santa Claus is kidnapped?!?

Sometimes a trailer is enough, enough to tell you a hit is coming. Even if the only fun bits are in the trailer, it looks like Amazon/MGM’s Christmas release Red One is going to drive audiences back to movie theaters. First you have the pairing of actor Dwayne Johnson with director Jake Kasdan. Kasdan directed Orange County, and both made the two Jumanji reboot movies box offices hits. Then you have the next Chris Evans movie. Then you have J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus, Bonnie Hunt as Mrs. Claus, genre actors Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Lodge 49), and Chris Morgan–veteran of five Fast & Furious movies–writing the script.
