Atomic Brunette? Fast & Furious’s Nathalie Emmanuel stars in The Killer

The Killer.  You won’t confuse this movie, coming to Peacock, with last year’s movie, The Killer, which starred Michael Fassbender and is streaming in Netflix.

Peacock’s The Killer stars Nathalie Emmanuel, the badass, kick-ass co-star of the Fast & Furious movies, who also dazzled in Army of Thieves and The Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance as the voice of Deet.  It comes from action movie director John Woo, who gave us Mission: Impossible II and the brilliant adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s short story Paycheck, and a script by Brian Helgeland, who delivered the one-of-a-kind A Knight’s Tale, and lots of other genre favorites.  He’s making a remake.

It’s coming straight to Peacock and it looks great.  How could you pass it up?  Check out this trailer for The Killer:

Yes, it does look a lot like Atomic Blonde.  Emmanuel can pull it off, and makes a good, next generation Charlize Theron.  The movie co-stars Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation), Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past), and Diana Silvers (Glass).  This is a remake of the 1989 Woo movie of the same name.

Look for The Killer coming to Peacock August 23, 2024.
