System Preference–Inevitable demise of reality after A.I. previewed in new story

This year Titan Comics is bringing an English adaptation of French writer-artist Ugo Bienvenu’s 2019 cautionary tale of an oblivious world allowing artificial intelligence to run rampant.  In System Preference, a “Black Mirror-esque shock satire,” readers will find the latest story in the vein of The Terminator and Planet of the Apes.  Similar in look and vibe to the post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller Snowpiercer by by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette, this graphic novel pulls no punches on a society that knows better letting irrational people and irrational decisions to take over.  Can cautionary tales like this save the Earth before it’s too late from greedy politicians and billionaires who could care less about the ordinary person?

Take a look inside a few pages from System Preference:

Here is the preview from publisher Titan Comics:

In the near future, society lives in a social media metaverse where data storage is at a premium and historic works of art are simply deleted to make space for holiday photos.  Appalled by this way of life, an archivist risks everything by stealing and hiding culturally important artefacts inside the robot acting as the surrogate carrier of his unborn daughter.  However, he’s soon discovered, and the family are forced to go on the run, with tragic consequences.  Fans of dystopian sci-fi will love sinking their teeth into this cautionary tale.

Add System Preference to your comic shop pull list at Elite Comics or your local comic shop, or pre-order it now here at Amazon.  You have a bit of a wait for this one.  System Preference is on sale September 16, 2025.
