Everything you’ve seen on the big screen gets better after the theater curtains closed.
In 2020 Titan Comics took fans of the Blade Runner movie franchise back to the future with the comic book series Blade Runner 2019. Both the sequel to Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner and prequel to Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, the story–from Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Michael Green–expanded the franchise based on the world created by Philip K. Dick. Writer Mike Johnson and artist Andres Guinaldo then went back 20 years before the theatrical sequel with Blade Runner 2029, and the anime TV series saw its own sequel in the pages of Blade Runner: Black Lotus. The franchise filled in more blanks following a Replicant named Luv in Blade Runner 2039. Showcasing the breadth and expansion of stories, three new omnibuses from writers Michael Green and Mike Johnson and artist Andres Guinaldo are heading your way from Titan Comics.

Take your first look inside each new omnibus below, beginning with Blade Runner 2019: The Complete Series Omnibus, available for pre-order now here at Amazon.

We reviewed Blade Runner 2019 discussed at borg, a story that introduced fans of Replicants and the Tyrell Corporation to Ashina aka Ash, an engineered cyborg and the first female Blade Runner in this rain-soaked, neon-lighted future. The first omnibus to be released arrives next month and includes the 12 issues of the tales “Los Angeles,” “Off World,” and “Home Again, Home Again,” including the Free Comic Book Day issue that didn’t get wide circulation. A bonus section includes all the variant covers, including the Syd Mead art covers. It also features some of Guinaldo’s penciled covers, cover roughs, tryout covers, and an unused two-page tryout script, plus a half dozen pages showing the development from script to pencils to ink to colors to lettering. It also has a chronology of the comic book series and a tribute to Syd Mead. To round it out this shiny color hardcover sports some slick endpapers featuring Guinaldo’s art.
Guinaldo’s artwork really evokes Syd Mead’s art and Ridley Scott’s original vision for this world. Here’s a quick look inside:
