It’s full of concept artwork, poster art, and photographs from Chapters 9-12 of The Mandalorian–and it has page after page of the galaxy’s favorite green, long-eared sidekick.  It has a long title–Star Wars Insider Presents: Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season Two Collectors Edition Vol. 1—and it’s a worthy look at the first part of the Disney+ series’ second season.  As with the past editions from the first season (discussed here and here), it has more mock-ups of Topps trading cards, and more beasts, planets, ships, battles, armor, and characters.  It’s available now in a glossy paperback magazine format here at Amazon.

In addition to photos of stars Din Djarin and Grogu, readers will see more of guest characters, including the Frog Lady, the Marshal, those giant snow spider… things, Bo-Katan, Koska, and Axe.

Plus returning characters get their spotlight, like Moff Gideon, Greef Karga, and Peli Motto.

Back in the 1970s and 1980s we would have pulled a year’s supply of art from this book and affixed it inside our lockers with tape.  The images are a fantastic reminder of why this series is among Lucasfilm’s best works.

Contributions in the book come from the visionary minds and pens of artists and designers that inspired the final production sets, costumes, and props, with works by Doug Chiang, Christian Alzmann, Ryan Church, Khang Le, Erik Tiemens, Brian Matyas, and Anton Grandert.
