First look–Weyland-Yutani creates a new kind of cyborg in Alien: Earth

Aliens come home. From Noah Hawley (Bones, Legion, Fargo) comes Alien: Earth, an eight-episode prequel series to the original 1979 Alien movie. The series stars actor Kyle Chandler’s daughter Sydney Chandler as Wendy, a new human/Synth hybrid, The Mandalorian’s Timothy Olyphant plays another Synth, plus Black Mirror’s Alex Lawther (also a Synth), Samuel Blenkin (also from Black Mirror), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) and Adarsh Gourav (Hostel Daze). The roster has so many Synth characters, should we get ready for something like AMC’s Humans?

Look for Alien: Earth coming to Hulu and FX Networks starting August 12, 2025, with the first two episodes, and subsequent episodes follow each week until September 23.
