Happy New Year!
We’re only days away from New Year’s and it’s that time again, time to take a look forward at what you want on your movie radar for 2026. These are the shows from genredom we think borg readers will want to know about. In all we pulled more than 70 movies from the hundreds of films that have been finalized or are in varying stages of final production and slated for this year’s movie calendar. Compare the below list to our 2025 list, 2024 list, 2023 list, 2022 list, 2021 list, 2020 list, 2019 list, 2018 list, 2017 list, 2016 list, 2015 list, or 2014 list. Is the variety of movie options getting better or worse?
Some of the big movies don’t have release dates or trailers yet, like Quentin Tarantino’s The Adventures of Cliff Booth starring Brad Pitt and directed by David Fincher, the sequel to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. That movie, along with Avengers: Doomsday, Jumanji 3, Spider–Man: Brand New Day, and Supergirl seem to be the early favorites for the year’s blockbuster movies, with the eagerly awaited next Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, as the likely #1 box office hit of the year.

Come back tomorrow as we look at TV series in 2026, but first grab your calendar and sit back for nearly 70 trailers–here are All the Movies You’ll Want to See in 2026:
